Taking Back Your Power

Updated: Mar 18, 2020

TAKING BACK YOUR POWER... it's a topic that has been showing up a lot in some of the coaching sessions we have had. We felt hard-pressed to talk about it. Why is it important to take back your power and never ever give it away? Because taking back your power sets the tone for what's to come. A clear vision of who you are and how you want to be treated and respected strengthens your self-esteem. Taking back your power is more about a better understanding of yourself and less about telling someone to fuck off. Taking back your power is about setting clear boundaries, knowing yourself so well that the outside world has no input on your happiness. Do we have your attention? GOOD!

Here are 4 simple things to remember in your journey of Taking Back Your Power:

- Take responsibility - You are in the driver's seat of your life so taking responsibility for your part in handing over the keys of your car to a stranger so to speak, that's on you.

- Be present - It is your POWER place. You can connect to your wisdom, your higher-self there. It also puts you on solid ground.

- Mindset - You know you can be your own worst critic, but being able to have a healthy mindset makes a vital difference between you taking action or you procrastinating. Know yourself, your mind and your intentions and that internal naysayer will show its ugly head less and less.

- Take Action - Like with all things, if you don't apply action then it's just a dream. Taking your power back requires actions. Any kind of change in your life requires action. Write down what your true power looks like, feels like, acts like. Get really specific and then go do it and be it!
